Cities in Transformation
This is a new Collection inspired by Cities and landscapes, made by Costa Rican Artist Juan Carlos Chavarría with pieces of destroyed weapons. All the destroyed weapons come from robberies, homicides and violent acts and have been confiscated by the different police forces of Costa Rica, destroyed by the Costa Rican General Direction of Armaments and with the support of the Organization of American States (OAS). It’s important to mention that the Artist uses the number 7 in all his Artworks, that is, all the parts are counted to give 7 or multiples of 7, this is because the Artist considers that the number 7 is the number of the transformation, the number of God and a number found in many aspects of our life: 7 days of the week, 7 colors of the rainbow, 7 musical notes, etc.
